"If you want a local place to eat as locals do, this isna first choice"
"Had a family meal here recently and it was one of the best meals I ever had. The patatas bravas and Mozzarella were delicious. The portion size is very generous and is reasonably priced. Very relaxing area with no traffic passing by. The waiter was brilliant, running the bar and serving all tables so efficiently. She was the nicest waiter we met on our stay in Salou."
"Very delicious food, friendly staff and quick service. I visited it several times and every time the food was excellent. Strongly recommended. Very good dinner for a person with alcohol no more than 30 Euros. It works till late"
"Very nice place! The food is tasty and like home-made. The menu includes Catalan and Castellan dishes with meat and seafood. We had launches everyday of out 14 days vacation and the food was various. Special thanks to Luis who helped to understand the menu and was very welcoming and hospitable."
"We went there to have lunch. We stumbled upon this place after seeing it packed with locals which is always a good sign. Took the daily menu, paella and garlic chicken, with a glass of red wine included for almost 12 euro per pax. Paella was really good tasting and juicy, same for the chicken which were chicken wings with a nice garlic sauce and some fried potatoes. Good value and good service. Would recommend"
"Absolutely fantastic tapas. Really simple but flavoursome dishes, served piping hot. 2 dishes will easily serve 1 person as a meal but there’s so much good food it’s probably best to go as a group or have a coupe of visits. Please ask the waiter to describe the Spanish menu as not everything is listed on the English menu. Garlic prawns are the best I’ve ever had. Belly pork with peppers are a taste sensation"
"Classic tapas bar & restaurant , serving the best local produce & as the name of the restaurant suggests the Very special jamón ! Which is carved fresh to order & might I add one of my personal favourites here ! . The portions here are quite generous & I noticed that the olive oils used on the dishes served , was in my opinion , premium grade & most flavoursome ! , also the anchovies in vinegar were fresh & white & they went down very well with my cold draft beer , which was served in a pre chilled glass ! , which is a nice touch ! May I add . The service here is brisk , polite & should you require any information about the food served here they are very informative & keen to advise on your choice of meal as they do have quite a varied menu . The vibe of the El jamón is relaxed & informal & the decor is a fusion of modern furnishings & a mix of early black & white photo features from around the late 1800s to the 1920s etc & it is very tastefully done & it all adds to the charm & atmosphere of the restaurant . There is also an alfresco terrace on the street for drinks & dining with a canopy , which is quite the place to drink , dine & enjoy the El jamón experience , weather permitting ! . The prices here are in my opinion very modest for such quality food ! & Like myself I'm sure you will be impressed with the El jamón , it's classic tapas & tapas done well . Recommend for those who appreciate quality food & quality of service & @ sensible cost , well worth a visit ! ."
"Perfect food. Nice service. Great local atmosphere. Cannot stop going there!"
